My 2 weeks in NYC during the winter break were fruitful and delightful. Fruitful because I got to work with Celerie and the lovely girls of the office-the Kemblettes, as we have been dubbed. Delightful because I got to be with lovely friends, attend the New York City Opera, Antony and Cleopatra, witness the genius of Gustavo Dudamel and the New York Phil, and the treasure of the New York City Ballet. One of the highlights was this past Thursday, my last day on the job. I had to pick up some wallpaper from the D and D (NY's design center) for our client, Gayle King, yes, Oprah's bff. And then I had to rush them to her house before she got there. Only, she was there when I arrived. I greeted her in the gym and laid out the samples at which she responded, "Oh, so glad you are here, I'm just lost." So, we went throughout her house and I helped her choose wallpapers for her gym, towels for the bathrooms, sheers for her daughter's room, glass for the closet, tile for the kitchen. You know, ain't no thing, me and Gayle King. Pretty much we're like this (I'm intertwining my fingers), knowing that she already has a bff. Maybe I'm her white girl friend. I'm ok with that. As I was saying my good byes to everyone I was flipping through the March issue of Traditional Home and came across the stationary I did for Celerie with Dempsey and Carroll. Go check it out! While you're at it, check out the link below for the stationary I did for Bronson Van Wyck for Dempsey too. Yes, these 15 minutes are coming to an end soon, but I might as well live it up while I can!
